Sentry Security Server
Overview
The Acalis Sentry™ Security Server is a tool for the ‘Security Engineer’ that uses a combination of secure software and anti-tamper hardware to encrypt embedded executables and configure the security settings for the Acalis CPU872.
The security server is a device designed to clearly define the separate roles of software engineer and security engineer. The Acalis Sentry™ Security Server provides a console that lets the security engineer define the important data and physical security settings for the Acalis Secure Processor. In addition, it manages the process of encrypting and securing the application executable for the Acalis Secure Processor in order to protect the critical software and IP in your system. By also using the unique serial code of a specific Acalis CPU872 device, encrypted images can be created that can only be decrypted by that device.
The Acalis Sentry™ Security Server is a key ingredient in creating a secure and trusted development environment for sensitive systems. The graphical user interface offers an intuitive way to both define and implement security policy and ensure that your system is prepared for both hardware and software security testing and certification. This system makes it simple to setup the on-chip firewalls between operating cores, I/O, and on-chip/off-chip memory, plus you can configure software access to configuration registers, and program responses and defense mechanisms for chip-detected tamper events.
Description
The Acalis Sentry Security Server is a self-contained system utilizing two Acalis CPU872 Secure Processors. It is accessed through secure Ethernet connection. The Acalis Sentry Security Server includes everything needed to create and store secure processor configurations, and to operate on sensitive networks and sanitize when no longer needed.
